Caroline Van Wyke

Caroline was born in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England in 1963

She studied for an Honor’s Degree in Fine Art Photography at Exeter College of Art & Design

Her early career was spent working in the Design Industry in London until 2002 when she re-discovered her love for art, sketching and painting her two children, who were natural subjects.

After moving to Brittany in France it seemed a natural progression to draw animals, being a huge rural community with emphasis on animal life. Recently Caroline has relocated to the Dordogne.

Now attracting a wide range of commissions, from Europe and the US, including portraits of people, animals, houses, bespoke paintings, book illustration artwork.

Influences: Augustus John, Leonardo da Vinci, Auguste Rodin, Nature, Rural life.
